General
Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager, the job holder will have the responsibility for an effective sales and support strategy and for achieving the revenue and volume targets set by the Regional Sales Manager for a designated and agreed area. Typical account holders are National Distributors, Regional Distributors and key accounts.
Education
Typically educated to HNC level the job holder would normally have at least 5 years experience within the function of cutting tool sales and have a working knowledge of CNC programmes. A good command of English is essential.
Key Tasks
Plan and implement sales and support strategy, customer retention and development using sales and marketing resources to agreed budgets for the job holder area.
Ensure the maintenance of the reporting procedures and planning systems in daily use (Sage Customer Relations Management).
To assist the Regional Sales Manager in implementing the annual Business Planning process, with particular emphasis on the development of the objectives of job holders area.
To identify personal development needs both to meet operational and professional needs and to actively participate in performance reviews.
Duration of contract
This is a permanent position.

Hours of work
Your hours of work will be 40 per week, Monday to Friday.
Annual Leave
Your annual leave entitlement will be 30 days. In addition to annual leave you are also entitled to bank holidays and some discretionary holidays during the Xmas period.

General
Reporting directly to the managing director, the job holder will have overall responsibility for the implementation of an effective sales strategy and for management of the sales function. Overseeing the work of the sales team, sales budgets and targets would be set, costs controlled, existing customers supported and new sales opportunities investigated. In addition, the regional sales manager would be ultimately responsible for achieving the revenue and volume targets set by the Managing Director.
Education
Typically educated to degree level the job holder would normally have at least 10 years experience within the function of cutting tool sales and with at least 3 years having been spent in a managerial role. It is a requirement that a good standard of English is spoken.
Key Tasks
Plan and implement sales strategy, customer retention and development using sales and marketing resources to agreed budgets.
Contribute to the formulation of policy and strategy as a member of the management team; attend Quarterly Business Review meetings
Recruit, manage, and motivate a sales team according to company procedures, policy and employment law
Ensure the maintenance of the reporting procedures and planning systems in daily use (Sage Customer Relations Management)
To assist the Managing Director and Sales Management team in implementing the annual Business Planning process, with particular emphasis on the development of the objectives of the regional sales team
To identify personal development needs both to meet operational and professional needs and to actively participate in performance reviews for his sales team
