The first major supplier and customer event organised by Cromwell Tools at Millbrook Proving Ground near Bedford in early October, has been hailed as a huge success by Allied Maxcut, which was one of the specially invited exhibitors.
More than 3,000 visitors attended the event to see the latest production and manufacturing technology available through Cromwell Tools from some of Europe's leading companies.
Allied Maxcut's UK Sales Manager, Mark Tibbetts, explained: "This was one of the best organised, well attended and productive events of its type, we've attended. The level of interest we received was excellent and we secured many guaranteed application requests from companies wanting to install and assess AMEC tooling on their demanding, high performance applications."
In addition to exhibiting products from across its range, including thread mills, reamers, HSS Super Cobalt drills and the Gen2-TA drill insert system, exhibitors were able to preview the new GEN3SYS® replaceable insert high penetration drill range, which uses innovative helical insert geometry and coating technology.
"GEN3SYS® attracted a lot of attention," added Mark Tibbetts. "The new geometry, coatings and rigid holders provide outstanding productivity and the range is now available through Cromwell Tools and our other distributors."
Details were also available on Allied Maxcut's new Technical & Training Centre, based at its European HQ in the West Midlands. Already Cromwell Tools has booked around 20 staff onto training courses at the new centre.
