Following the recently completed total re-design of Allied Maxcut's website and integrated e-commerce solutions, a new on-line ordering service has been launched by the company to simplify and speed product selection, ordering and transactions for its UK and European distributor network.
Once a distributor is registered and authorised, the system allows multiple users within each distributor to gain access and place the necessary orders for standard Allied Maxcut tooling online, using the easy to follow selection and ordering process, which saves time and the wastage associated with completing duplicate paperwork required by traditional ordering systems.
In addition, orders can be gathered during the day and then sent as a total order at an agreed time, with the latest time for ordering for next day delivery being 15.45, giving greater flexibility as well as saving the time and cost of writing out several smaller orders.
As the new system also saves order processing time at Allied Maxcut, the company is passing this saving back to its distributors by providing free carriage on all orders placed on-line. During the ordering process, stock availability can be checked in real time, and the system will advise of any items not in stock, and put on back-order.
All the necessary documentation, including order confirmation, despatch times, availability and appropriate discounts applied to the order, as well as invoices and statements, are generated electronically and e-mailed to the distributor for accurate tracking.
"This system is a major benefit both to our distributors and Allied Maxcut as it not only simplifies and speeds up the ordering process but also makes it more robust and traceable," explained Allied Maxcut's MD, Rod Crawford.
He added: "The entire process has been designed to provide the maximum benefit, with the minimum of input from our distributors when ordering. It doesn't require any new skills to use, it's intuitive, easily navigable and saves a huge amount of time as well as paper, which is a key part of our environmental policy to move towards paperless transactions and minimise waste."
