AMEC has added integral ER-16 and ER-20 collet shanks for the Y, Z, and 0 Series T-A holder range.
These tools were developed for cross slide applications in the Swiss turn market, although Mill turn machines with ER collet holders can also use these tools. The holders offer a short protrusion of 50mm (2.0 inches) for compatibility with machine constraints and incorporate through coolant for peak tool performance.
In addition, AMEC is offering ER collet nuts without retaining rings for these holders. With the integral shank design, retaining rings are not required. So, if a standard collet nut is required, the retaining ring will need to be removed. All collet nuts are sold separately.
