INNOVATIVE NEW PRODUCT RANGES FROM AMEC AT EMO 2011

AMEC will be showing a range of new products at EMO 2011, many of which are on display for the first time in Europe, including the new GEN3SYS® XT and innovative MaxThread programmes which take centre at the Company's 104m² Stand.

Alongside the new tooling and hole cutting solutions, AMEC is also showing products from its entire range, including the AccuThread 856™ thread milling system, the adjustable indexable carbide Revolution Drill® and Core Drill® as well as the BT-A Deep Hole drilling solution and the extensive T-A® and GEN2 T-A® range of high performance inserts and holders.

As with previous exhibitions, AMEC will be running live machining demonstrations on the Stand with a high-speed machining centre to give visitors the opportunity of experiencing the speed, performance and quality of hole finish that can be achieved with AMEC tools.

The new GEN3SYS® XT range not only extends the range of high performance geometries and insert grades available but also increases the flexibility of the GEN3SYS System. The GEN3SYS® XT family consists of four new insert geometries - Standard, Cast Iron (CI), Low Rake (LR) and Stainless Steel (AS), all of which are designed to provide superior chip control, penetration and tool life. These give access to the high penetration performance characteristics when used on a wide variety of materials.

Also being shown at EMO is the new MaxThread thread milling range. Manufactured from solid carbide with ground helical flutes, this product has been intended to complement the AccuThread programme. Designed for the low volume / low cost production environment, MaxThread provides excellent performance at a competitive price.

In addition, displays of the class-leading GEN2 T-A® range, AMEC‟s specialised Structural Steel drilling system and „Original T-A®‟ drill inserts system will also be on show, together with our unique AccuPort 432® hydraulic port drilling system and the ASC 320™ high penetration solid carbide drill range.

“Since the last EMO Exhibition, we have continued to develop our product range to ensure we maintain our position at the forefront of hole cutting technology,” explained AMEC Europe‟s Managing Director, Rodney Crawford. “Alongside the developmentof new products, we have also made countless smaller improvements and upgrades across our range to ensure AMEC users can stay at the cutting edge‟ of productivity.”
